#25 "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory."

Tuesday was our last work day with MTSG. I stayed at the base with Maddie, cleaning tools putting the boiled linseed oil on the wood to protect them from water and then we were able to work in the tree nursery the rest of the time. The rest of my team went to rattle snake ledge and hiked a steep 2 miles up which took them an hour and a half. Once they were back we went home and we started to deep clean around the house.
Wednesday was our last official day in Washington. Instead of working, the mountains to sound crew decided to have a going away celebration with us and we first watched a documentary about the lumber business then went on a bike ride around North Bend seeing different projects that they have been working on, or plan to work on. The bike ride was amazing! The weather was in our favor yesterday, being that it was blue sky's and sunny all day. We ended up biking 7 miles and visited about 3 different sights. After the amazing bike ride we went to Twin Peaks Café which in the old SiFi show "Twin Peeks" the café was called "RR2GO! The team went there with about 3 members of the MTS crew to do a final debriefing of our time here. We talked about all the positives and a few of the negatives over the course that we have been in Washington. I told them how this first spike has made an amazing impact on my life. From the trail work to the trips in Seattle to different museums. Everyone I have talked to, has helped me find something that truly interests me. And I can not wait for the upcoming projects to learn more.
After saying our final goodbyes we were off to go back to our house to pack up the van, final cleaning and sleep for the last time in our house.
Today we piled up in the van at 7am and set off for California. The drive seemed to go by really fast. We got to the hotel here in White City Oregon around 5:30. Right away I went in the pool and swam around while a few of my team mates went into the weight room. Around 7 our TL came down and asked what we wanted for dinner from a Chinese restaurant that we were ordering take out from.
After we all told her I went up and took a shower. Once I was done the food was here; so I sat in the room with a few other team mates and we watched "The breakfast club" and now I'm watching "16 candles".  Tomorrow we are leaving at 7 and finishing up the rest of the drive back to campus.
